While VU serves students from every county in Indiana and many other states and countries, a majority of students come from Vincennes and surrounding communities. 

For Fall 2007, 1,397 students reported being from Knox County, with 994 (71%) being from Vincennes.  The other Knox county communites include Bicknell, Bruceville, Decker, Edwardsport, Emison, Freelandville, Monroe City, Oaktown, Sandborn, Westphalia, and Wheatland.

Neighboring counties also report high enrollment of VU students:  Sullivan, Daviess, and Gibson counties in Indiana and Lawrence county in Illinois.  Please refer to the pie charts below.
