The Assessment Center is located in the Shake Learning Resources Center (Library), room 130, on the Vincennes campus. Campus Phone: 812-888-5404. The Center offers the following types of tests:

• Placement and Entry Testing
  New students and transfer students should take the Entry/Placement test prior to their initial registration.

IMPORTANT:  NO RETESTING IS ALLOWED!

You should do your very best on the Accuplacer placement test.  It will determine your initial classes when  you start at VU.

• Exit Testing for graduating students.
  
  IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - The mandatory EXIT test is no longer required of Vincennes University graduates, effective 11-29-2004.
  Please note: The GENED math intensive test requirement is still in effect. See your Academic Advisor to determine if you must meet this criteria, or review the information below regarding the GENED test.

Certification test candidates must comply with additional requirements as mandated by the test sanctioning or governing body in their discipline. Certification candidates must schedule and register with the Assessment Center or their test sponsor. No "walk-ins" will be tested.

• General Education Development (G.E.D.)
  G.E.D. testing is typically done each week on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and it takes both sessions to complete the exam. Testing is by appointment only. You MUST pre-register for the exam.
