GENED - GENERAL EDUCATION MATH ACHIEVEMENT TEST (MATH EXIT EXAM)
Associate of Arts(A.A.) OR Associate of Science(A.S.) DEGREE CRITERIA:
Each student who is a candidate for either the
A.A. or A.S. degree must demonstrate achievement in mathematics by satisfying the
conditions of
one of the following criteria:
- 1. Earn a C or better in one mathematics course above MATH 101,
OR
- 2. Earn a C or better in MATH 101
and then pass a standardized test prior to graduation.

If you answered
YES to
ALL THREE questions, then you must take the GENED MATH ACHIEVEMENT TEST.
Main Campus Students: See your advisor and obtain a Testing Authorization
Form with the first two sections of the form properly filled out and signed by your
advisor.

Then bring the yellow and pink copies of the form to the Assessment Center and you
may take the test.
PASSING CRITERIA:
To pass the test for the A.A. or A.S. degree you must score a 63 or above on the Elementary
Algebra section of the Accuplacer test. (63 of 120 possible points is
52.5%). There are 12 problems on the test. You will need 6 or 7 problems correct
to earn a passing score.
