The Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI) Reciprocal Borrowing Program allows all students, faculty,
and staff from any participating library to borrow books at any other participating ALI library.
Instructions for Vincennes University Students, Faculty and Staff:
Bring your VU Jasper ID card to the Circulation Desk.
Fill out an application form.
You will be given an “ALI” card and a brochure which explains the program and lists
participating libraries.
Take your ALI card with you to any of the participating libraries to borrow items.
IMPORTANT: Your library privileges and loan periods are determined by the library you are
visiting, and you must abide by their rules and regulations including paying any overdue fines or
fees charged to you.
Instructions for Visitors to VU Jasper Campus Library from a participating ALI Library:
Present your ALI card at the Circulation Desk along with a picture ID and some form of
verification of your address.
Using this information, the staff member at the Circulation Desk will enter your information
into our local circulation database and issue you a ALI Community Card.
Privileges: You may borrow books for 28 days and CDs for 14 days. You may not
borrow videos or journals. No renewals are allowed. Overdue fines for items are generally $4
per item. You will be given a brochure explaining VU Jasper Campus
Library's lending policies.
The computer lab is available for your use unless needed by VU users or reserved for
VU activities.
