Historians, genealogists, students and other researchers can use the World Wide Web to access the indexes to some of Lewis Library's most important holdings: the Regional History Collection (RHC) and the Pamphlet Collection (PAM).
The Regional History Collection is a comprehensive group of letters, documents and manuscripts dating from the 18th century with an emphasis on the settlement and development of the American Midwest. The collections are of a governmental, business and personal nature, with a special focus on Vincennes and Vincennes University. The total number of individual collections in the RHC has grown to over 510 and covers more than 85 feet of archival space.
Lewis Library's Pamphlet Collection Index is becoming available as well. The Pamphlet Collection contains over 1500 documents, many of them rare, ephemeral, or privately published.
Access to the holdings of the RHC and Pamphlet Collection is available in WebCat, the online catalog at Vincennes University's Shake Learning Resources Center.
