Members of the Lending Services staff are available to assist you with questions about the library, its services, and to offer basic help. However, if you need reference or research assistance, you may be referred to a librarian. The Computer Commons and Lab are designed to be self-help labs much of the time. However, at night during the Fall and Spring Semesters, computer lab assistants are stationed at the Reference Desk with the librarian to help with computer related problems and questions while the librarian helps users doing research. When unable to help, students may sometimes be referred back to their instructor for more specific help. Students who want to access their VU email accounts may access MyVU at: myvu.vinu.edu . Community users may sign up on their own by using one of the Internet services such as Hotmail or Yahoo.
