This program is a transfer program. Begin your studies here in the studio arts - painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics and photography. Then transfer to one of many four year schools throughout the state and country. Many of these schools offer scholarships to our graduates.
DIVERSE DIRECTIONS
So what does art studio lead to? First, it can focus into the specific fields of painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, photography, computer animation, illustration, drawing, and art history. Upon transfer these areas will introduce you further into fields such as glass work, metals, jewelry, weaving, furniture and other types of product design, time and motion arts and specific art historical directions. Several former students have found jobs with theater, the decorative arts, foundry work, forging and design work. Some alumni are teaching in high schools and colleges, showing in galleries and operating their own businesses. Others have used their art to augment their work in still other fields. What drives all these people is their love for making and working with visual images.
