CHEMISTRY 4090

Chemists look for new ways to use substances in practical ways.  The clothes we wear, the food we eat, the house in which we live. In fact, most things that help make our lives better are the result of work done by chemists. Their research has resulted in the development of many new and improved products, ranging from authentic-looking “fake” leather to self-adhesive note pads.

THE VU ADVANTAGE

The Chemistry program at Vincennes University is designed to transfer to a four-year institution for completion of the bachelor of science degree.  There are several advantages to beginning your college education at VU:

As a VU Chemistry major, you’ll use laboratory equipment such as burettes and pipettes, along with digital balances, gas chromatography, infrared spectrophotometer, and other electronic equipment that you many have only seen or heard about.  You’ll confirm your lab calculations with computer analysis and experience other procedures through computer simulations.
