COMPUTER SCIENCE 4601

Computer scientists concern themselves with how things are accomplished, using techniques such as mathematics and statistical model-building to solve complex problems.  It is through the science of computers that we have realized a number of modern marvels, including:

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The key to America’s economic security is found in individuals with a strong computer science/mathematics background.  It is only through computers, and the management of information systems, that the U.S. will be able to compete with foreign markets.

Fully trained computer scientists will be in big demand by business, industry, and government well into the 21st Century.

THE VU ADVANTAGE

Vincennes University’s two-year program is designed to transfer to a four-year institution for completion of the baccalaureate degree. Classes are relatively small, ranging from 15 to 35 students, where you will have the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with your professors.  It’s this individual attention early in college that will help build a strong foundation for success at upper levels. Free tutoring is also available through the Mathematics Laboratory.

Note:  Recommended courses assume any developmental requirements have been met.
