Most of today’s auto-body shop owners learned their skills by working in small shops and observing their fellow workers. Today’s workforce doesn’t always have that option. That’s why VU offers a shorter-term, one-year certificate program that emphasizes the basics of auto body repair.
GOOD TRAINING EQUALS GOOD CAREER
To earn good money in the collision repair trade today, you must have some type of formal training beyond high school. Any field of specialized automotive training requires the ability to interpret shop manuals which are becoming more complex each year. Students with below average reading or mathematical skills simply cannot meet the fundamental requirements of today’s job market. This program will provide the minimum educational requirements to obtain entry-level employment in the body repair industry.
WHY VU?
Vincennes University's one-year program will help you become a successful technician in a body and collision repair shop. Here's what you can expect:
Note: Recommended courses assume any developmental requiremetns have been met.
