With the increased use of personal computers, offices depend on computers to store, process, and produce vital business information. This dependency has created the need for well-trained, qualified technicians to install and maintain computer equipment and software.

WHY CHOOSE VU?

Personal attention makes the difference. In this 2 year Electronics Technician program, you will concentrate on computers and computer accessory maintenance. Working with the latest personal computers and peripherals, you will learn to install, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade computer systems.

PLACEMENT
Of those responding to the most recent employment survey, 75% were employed within 3 months of graduation, and another 15% had continued their education at a 4 year university. Many of our graduates work for Fortune 500 companies, or the contracting companies that repair their computer systems. They have also found high paying jobs in school systems and hospitals.

Examples of jobs include:  Computer repair technician, Component-level technician, Technical sales, PC specialist, Computer service contractor

Note:  Recommended courses are for the A.S. degree and assume any developmental requirements have been met. A.A.S. degree also available.
