AUDIO RECORDING 2440
The A.A.S. degree in Audio Recording provides the basics covered in the recording certificate and adds two semesters of training using the computer based Pro Tools system.   Students may elect to study a concentration of multimedia applications, the history of popular music styles, or music business.  The required General Education curriculum will prepare you well if you plan to eventually earn a bachelor's degree. The additional year you spend at VU will both enhance your basic communication skills and provide you with a more hands-on experience using the industry's standard recording media.

  AREAS OF STUDY:

EARN A BACHELOR'S DEGREE:
There are several four-year programs in both Music and Business that match well with our A.A.S. degree in Audio Recording, including:

The courses you will take as part of the A.A.S. degree requirements are mainstream music courses taught at most universities offering similar programs. However, each institution has its own set of unique academic requirements and it is your responsibility to check with the admissions office at the four-year college. With the appropriate information, your VU advisor will be in a much better position to help you plan a smooth transfer to the baccalaureate college of your choice.

Note: Recommended courses are for reference only and assume any developmental requirements have been met.  See the Vincennes University Catalog for course numbers and graduation requirements.
