Through Project EXCEL, Vincennes University makes it possible for
qualified high school students to enroll in college courses during their high school day for the
incredibly low cost of $25 per credit hour. Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch and have
appropriate documentation on file with their Project EXCEL partner high school will have this fee
waived in compliance with PL 185. A letter from the school corporation listing those students who
qualify for this fee remission benefit must be provided to the Project EXCEL office when
registration forms are submitted (fall semester, on or before September 15; spring semester, on or
before February 15).
Qualified high school faculty teach the courses, which meet the same
academic standards as those taught on the VU campus. As a result, the credits are accepted not only
here, but at most colleges in Indiana, saving the college-bound student hundreds of dollars in
tuition!
