"When I was actually in high school, I kind of just signed up for the courses because I didn't
want to be stuck in a meaningless study hall. At the time I didn't realize what a great deal it was
to be earning college credits while I was still in high school. It wasn't until I took my
transcripts into the dean's office and she personally patted me on the back and took me to Indiana
State's transfer office, that I truly realized what a great accomplishment I had achieved. It was
nice to know that the huge lecture halls of people trying to learn Trigonometry or History from a
professor that doesn't speak much english were not going to have me in their midst. The classes I
was able to take were just general education courses, but those can be the hardest to pick up on in
the large classroom settings. I was able to take a college level curriculum in a high school
atmosphere and the stress just melted away. I graduated with 23 credit hours, 21 of which
transferred to Indiana State. So after my first semester i was officially a sophomore in college,
and about 2-3 summer classes away from being able to graduate a year early! This all looks
fantastic on transcripts and college admission papers and can help you get into that school you
want to get into because you have already proved yourself worthy and capable of education at the
college level. In addition to all that, the classes are cheap. It's great that VU is willing to
give classes for that cheap! At many institutions if you wanted to just take one class you would be
paying hundreds of dollars. You can't find a better deal! If I could go back and do it all again, I
definitely would! Thank you so much."
