students volunteered more than 13,000 hours for community and campus service during the 2007-2008 academic year

VINCENNES, IN – Vincennes University students volunteered more than 13,000 hours for community and campus service during the 2007-2008 academic year, according to Regina McCord-Fithian, student development coordinator.

Fithian says that more than 800 students participated in 42 campus clubs.  Members of one club, representing students majoring in the Conservation Law Enforcement, contributed more than 5,000 hours of volunteer service.

“I am proud of our student organizations and salute them on the hard work, dedication, and determination they have shown this year,” McCord-Fithian said.
