VINCENNES UNIVERSITY GOLF COACH
DENNIS CHATTIN
Dennis Chattin took over the Vincennes University men's golf program in the fall of 2003.
Chattin has a wealth of teaching and coaching experience plus communication skills. He is a former
math teacher at North Knox High School located in northern Knox County. He was the Warriors' head
golf coach for nine years and also served as varsity assistant basketball coach during that same
period of time.
For the past 23 years, Dennis has been employed by Farm Bureau Insurance Company, holding
several positions including Regional Sales Manager for a 33 county area of Indiana. He
currently an agent at the Sullivan, Ind., Farm Bureau Office.
Chattin has a Master's Degree in Math Education from Indiana State University. He and his
wife, Beth, have two children, Ryan, a former MVP in golf at Ball State University and currently
employed by the Coca Cola company and Brooke, a representative with Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceutical
Company.
"Vincennes University has a tradition of exceptionally strong athletic programs," says
Chattin. "It is my goal to establish VU as a premier division three golf program that will be
nationally competitive. My recruits will be quality athletes who are exemplary in the classroom and
on the golf course. Our schedule will be rigorous, competing in meets against NCAA division
one and two schools, as well as the best junior college programs."
