WordWeb - This is my favorite free online dictionary program.  When you install it you can put a shortcut in your startup tray to run each time you use your pc, then when you need to check a spelling just select (highlight)the word with your mouse and click the W icon.

Office Templates - Microsoft has a large selection of free templates you can download for free. From excel gradebooks, stationery, greeting card to resumes.

Google Earth - This is an awesome free download.  You need to have a newer PC so read the directions before you download it.

Daily Diary - This is a simple but useful free program you can use for an electronic daily diary.

Wink is a Tutorial and Presentation creation software, primarily aimed at creating tutorials on how to use software (like a tutor for MS-Word/Excel etc). Using Wink you can capture screenshots, add explanations boxes, buttons, titles etc and generate a highly effective tutorial for your users. (I use this as a free alternative to Camtasia)

UnderCoverXP is a program to easily print CD covers. It supports JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP formats and can automatically scale front covers, back covers, front + inside, inlays, DVD Boxes, Playstation covers and CoolBela LD001 labels to the correct sizes

PhotoFiltre is a complete image editing and effects package, that will not only amaze you with features but also the fact that it is free (for personal use).

Visualizer Photo Resize enables you to batch resize JPG images in a folder, and optional subfolders. It supports different aspect ratios, automatic color correction and grayscale conversion, as well as customizable image dimensions and JPG compression level. In addition, the program can also embed a small text in the image, add a visible watermark to each, and optionally create a ZIP file containing the resized images.
