Welcome to the Vincennes University Broadcasting Department where our basic goal is to prepare
students for successful entry into radio, television, and allied career fields while earning a
college degree. We believe in the value of hands-on, real world experience for our students. VU
Broadcasting is a time consuming, time intensive course of study. Our students spend many hours in
our studios and stations perfecting skills and working on assignments. Classroom lectures provide
the theoretical foundation behind the formal and arranged labs where students learn equipment
operations and job techniques. Students practice their skills in our extensive lab facilities.
Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana is a residential community college where
students can earn an Associates of Science (A.S.) degree or an Applied Associate of Science
(A.A.S.) degree in Broadcasting.
With extensive hands-on experience, our graduates are usually successful moving
into the workplace and starting their careers. Many Broadcasting graduates go on to four-year
colleges and universities to complete a Bachelor's degree program in communications or other fields
of interest.
