Why is Vincennes University called a University if it's only a two year college?
In 1806, the Indiana Territorial Legislature at its first session passed an act to
incorporate the first univeristy in the Indiana Territory, "to be called and known by the name and
style of Vincennes University". VU is a land grant college, the oldest college in Indiana, and 39th
oldest college in the USA.
What careers are available with a Broadcasting degree?
There are over 11,700 radio stations, 1,600 television stations, and 8,000 cable-TV

What about transfering to a four-year college?
We have articulation agreements with four-year colleges and universities in Indiana
and other states. We are a fully accredited college with the North Central Association of Colleges
and Schools. Advisors work with students to choose the appropriate non-broadcasting courses that
transfer to other schools.
What if a student needs help?
Every student is assigned an academic advisor who will help each student select
classes and deal with academic problems. Free tutoring is available for all Broadcasting
majors.
How much does it cost?
