Astar Air Cargo, Inc.
Program Design:
- All internships are located at the Wilmington, OH hub
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in the BS program with a 2.5 GPA
- Must have been a full time student during the two previous semesters
- Assignment of one semester or a summer
- Interns will work in the Flight Training, Safety Dept., or Maintenance Engineering Dept.
- Compensation of $10.00 per hour
- Opportunity to live in a crash pad or a local hotel with good rates
- Internship will meet the requirements for Tech (310 or 360) Applications Courses within the BS
degree program.

Chautauqua Airlines
Program Design:
- Internship is located 86
th Street, Indianapolis, IN
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in the BS degree program
- Full Time or Part Time (2 days per week) internships are available
- Assignment for one semester or a summer
- Will receive travel benefits by flying free in jump seat
- Internship will be in the Training Department and will rotate jobs and may work with the Chief
Pilot
- There is no compensation, it is unpaid
- Will meet the requirements for the Tech (310 or 360) Applications Courses within the BS degree
program
- There will be a performance evaluation at the end of internship
- Summer 2007 is available but deadline date is undetermined
- Does not guarantee a job or interview but looks excellent on resume
- Student will need to submit application to the VU Flight Department
UPS Flight Co-op Positions
Program Design:
- Internship is located in Louisville, KY
- Enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an Aviation or Business program with 3.0 GPA
- Co-op term is one year, Spring, Summer, and Fall semester (2008)
- Students will work with training aids, conduct tours of flight training center, and general
office duties
- Requirements of private or commercial license, and working knowledge of office products such as
Word, Excel, Access, & Powerpoint
- This is a paid 12 month commitment
- Must be eligible to receive co-op credits through school
- Will meet requirements for Tech 310 and Tech 360 Applications Courses within the BS degree
- Applications deadline is once a year – mid September
- To apply, you will need cover letter, resume, official transcripts, copy of licenses
- Student will need to submit application to the VU Flight Department
USAirways Summer Internship Program
Program Design:
- Internship is located in Tempe, Arizona
- First year or returning student registered for Fall 2007 with 3.0 GPA
- Willing to commit to a 10 or 12 week internship
- Compensation of $9 per hour for first year students and $10 per hour for second year students
with a 40 hour work week
- Will meet requirements for Tech 310 Courses within the BS degree
- To apply, you will need a cover letter, resume, official transcripts, verification of fall
enrollment
- Applications deadline is April 2, 2007
- Student will need to submit application to the Flight Department
