Computer Networking Specialist (8255)

This two-year program gives you the theory as well as the hands on lab exercises that prepare you for employment in the computer LAN (Local Area Networking) or WAN (Wide Area Networking) fields. You will implement, maintain, and manage Microsoft Windows XP and Server 2003 network environments. You will also work with Cisco curriculum, routers, switches, hubs, and many other networking tools. In addition to Microsoft and Cisco training, you will work with computer devices, printers, operating systems, laptops, and wireless networking devices as you prepare for your CompTIA certifications.

***Important information***

Incoming freshmen students for the 2008-2009 school year will be on the Microsoft Windows XP/Server 2003 MCSE certification track. We will begin teaching Microsoft Windows Vista/Server 2008 after the release of the final products to the public and business communities, curriculum is developed for the products, certification exams are available, and all instructors have received training on the new operating systems.
