Welding Technology is an intensive one-year program designed to prepare the student for gainful employment in the welding field. Emphasis is placed on preparation for A.W.S. (American Welding Society) Certification. This program provides nine months of concentrated training and a certificate upon successful completion. You will spend approximately 20 hours per week in welding lab, the majority of which will be devoted to hands-on training.You will develop the skills you will need to perform welds that comply with A.W.S. standards used by the industry. A major portion of the lab time is devoted to developing skills in all welding positions, with major emphasis on the vertical and overhead positions.
