The .918 Print Club is Busy!

Our .918 Print Club has been very busy this semester printing t-shirts for various organizations on the Vincennes University campus generating funds for .918 Print Club activities. These print jobs and others allow students to do real jobs from estimating to production.

Now Taking Applications

Dual Credit – are you interested? It is easy! Your students can earn up to nine college credit hours while taking your graphic communications classes. Contact Bryan LaFollette, blafollette@vinu.edu or 812-888-4443, for more information on how you can teach up to nine hours of college credit to your students through Vincennes University.

Vincennes University now taking applications for Fall 2008. Now is the time for your students to think beyond graduation and decide where to go to school. SkillsUSA Competition

The Southern Indiana Technical Career Center and Bedford North Lawrence recently sent 13 students to compete in a Skills USA competition here at Vincennes University. Students competed in four areas involving a written exam, folding, press, and pre-press. Congratulations to all the winners. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force and helping each student excel.

Work Co-Ops

Employers are now hiring students for a Cooperative Work Experience for the summer. Vincennes University students hired for cooperative work experience are expected to perform any tasks or duties that are expected of regular employees. This also gives the employer an opportunity to check-out individuals before hiring them full-time. The majority of the companies that have used V.U. Co-op students have found the experience rewarding.
