Training: What You'll Receive

40 Hours of Basic CMV Driver Instruction, including:

• Commercial Driver License (CDL) preparation
• Hours of service (Log keeping)
• Map reading
• DOT regulations
• 6-hour DDC-PTD course

40 hours of Preventive Maintenance instruction, including:

• Air brake systems
• Vehicle inspection
• Engine, transmission and differential operation
• General vehicle maintenance

80 hours of Basic Control Skills training, including:

• Coupling and uncoupling
• Straight line backing
• Alley docking
• Parallel parking
• Backward serpentine

At least 30 hours and/or 1000 miles BTW driving time:

• Expressway and two-lane roads
• Day and night driving
• Loaded and empty trailers (vans)

Customized training may be available, such as on-site training, re-training, and train-the-trainer programs.
