RESIDENTIAL LIFE LEARNING COMMUNITIES

What? "Learning Community" = Reserved rooms, wings, and areas of Residence Halls just for students in your major. These fellow students of yours will be in the same classes as you, doing the same homework as you, be developing the same projects as you, and have many of the same hobbies and interests as you. You will enjoy working together, studying together, and enjoying life together in the atmosphere of a "Learning Community", that is specially reserved for students in your department.
Who? YOU & other students enrolled in your major and area of study

 

Where? Vigo Hall = Wait! -- Did you know that Vigo Hall has undergone renovations? 
  • drop ceilings replaced
  • bathrooms updated and renovated
  • sprinkler systems installed
  • New first floor lobby furniture
  • New desk area first floor(coming soon)

Vigo Hall has2 Internet connections in each room that will be active and working the day you move in, with High Speed Internet services for the entire year.

When? Application for Residence Halls form should be filled out as soon as possible, to reserve your room in your department's "Learning Community".
How? If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Housing/Residential Life office at 888-4225. Returning students may pick up a contract in the Housing/Residential Life office or any Residence Hall front desk. New students will receive a Housing Contract shortly after acceptance to the University. Make sure you mark "Learning Community" & and your major number on the application. Yes, you can choose who your roommate will be (they must indicate your name and identification number on their application as well as you must list their name and identification number on your application.  Single rooms are available in Harrison and Morris for males and Vigo for female students.
