Throughout the 1970’s and 80’s, Dr. C.W. Chu provided scholarships for over 600 Chinese students to attend Vincennes University. Each student was extremely successful, beginning with transferring  to a prestigious four-year university in the USA and continuing with distinguished careers in engineering, education, investment banking, and industry.

Dr. Chu's family, who still reside in Hong Kong, has recently reestablished the Chu Scholarship. This generous and honorable act has renewed a remarkable relationship between the Chu Family and Vincennes University.

Some of the students who were sponsored by Dr. Chu have now joined other Hong Kong alumni to create a separate VU fund of their own. These funds wil be used solely to provide additional finanacial assistance to future Hong Kong students attending Vincennes University.
