“Counseling Military Personnel” MILI 116
This seminar consists of topics essential in counseling personnel for various outcomes in military environments. We will review communication, interview techniques, counseling for performance, cultural sensitivities and developmental counseling.
"Personal Management Skills" MILI 100
Four essential life management skills long recognized as necessary to the personal growth of all individuals, both military or civilian.
Those skills are: Communication, Time Management, Goal Setting and Stress Management.
COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS
You may work at your convenience any time, any day of the week. The materials available for your use approximately 344 hours (three weeks). The course will normally opens at 0800 EST, on Monday and closes three weeks later on Monday at 1630 EST
COST and ENROLLMENT
This is a one college credit hour course. The cost is $151.00 of which Tuition Assistance will pay 100%, for active, guard, and reserve component personnel. If you plan to use Tuition Assistance you should apply for it immediately. Regulations require TA be approved before start of the class. You must also work closely with your Education Officer to properly comply with local directives.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
You must have access to a 486 CPU higher, a printer, a modem preferably 56K,Netscape 4.0 or Microsoft Explorer 4.0 or higher. Additionally, Java enabled (important), Office 95, Power Point and Microsoft Word are also used.
And of course you must have Internet access.
Important: As a Vincennes Student, you will have the opportunity to receive a complete evaluation of your military training and experience for award of college credit under American Council on Education (ACES) Guidelines. To assist you in preparing documentation for evaluation you are encouraged to immediately request an AARTS transcript. Navy personnel require an up-to-date SMART .
