The University expects students to adhere to the principles of truth and honesty in
their academic work. Academic dishonesty includes plagiarism, cheating, submitting another person's
material as one's own, or doing work for which another person will receive academic
credit.
For violations under this section, the professor will notify the department
chairperson and the division dean in writing of the circumstances if any punitive action is taken.
The student shall have the right of appeal of the professor's decision per the
Student
Grievance Policy. The alternatives for action by the professor may include, but not be limited
to, failing grade of the assignment or the course.
