Vincennes University was founded in 1801 by William Henry Harrison, Governor of the
Indiana Territory, who later became the ninth President of the United States. Vincennes
University is the only state supported comprehensive two-year college in Indiana. With over 12,000
full and part-time students at its Vincennes campus and the three regional campuses, it offers more
than 150 academic transfer or occupational programs.

Since 1986, the Vincennes University Military Program has provided educational opportunities
to over 75,000 guard members/reservists/active military personnel.
Vincennes University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools,
(the States of Indiana and Arkansas, Washington, Kentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas) and is
a Servicemembers Opportunity College.
