After completion of one course with Vincennes University, students submit
appropriate documentation of military training and experience for the evaluation process to the
Vincennes campus office:

Vincennes, IN 47591
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR
EVALUATION:
ARMY - Official AARTS transcript
(Request on-line at:
https://aartstranscript.army.mil)
NAVY/MARINES - Page 4, signed by an
official or official SMART transcript
(Request on line at:
www.navycollege.navy.mil)
AIR FORCE - official transcript from CCAF
The documents are evaluated and entered into a specialized computer program. The
program matches training schools and MOS's/AFSC/ Rates with courses offered at VU. The credit is
awarded based on the recommendations of the American Council on Education in accordance with the
courses offered through Vincennes University.
Credits are awarded whenever possible. The credits given are for lower division
(freshman and sophomore level) courses only. Once the evaluation process is completed an unofficial
assessment, of military experience only is mailed to the student. A transcript reflecting military
experience credit, course(s) taken through Vincennes University, and transfer credit from
accredited colleges and universities will be mailed soon after the assessment. The entire process,
from class completion to transcript, takes between 10-12 weeks. Military evaluations will not be
delayed waiting for transcripts from other colleges.

FUTURE EVALUATIONS:
Students may submit documents for re-evaluation of military training and add credits
to their college record. All new and/or upgraded MOS/Rates must be held for at least 12 months.
Updated AARTS/SMART transcripts or copies of certificates of completion for training schools and a
$30 re-evaluation fee are to be mailed to the Military Education Program in Vincennes or submitted
to the local Program Coordinator. The fee applies only to students who have not taken a VU class
for one year or more.
Once the information has been received at the home campus it will go through the same
process as the original evaluation. An updated transcript will then be mailed to the student in
approximately 10-12 weeks.
