Nurses are critical partners with all health care professionals in the
delivery of health care. Using a distinct body of knowledge and critical thinking skills, nurses
deliver hands-on care to many types of patients. Among their many responsibilities, they may
coordinate health care teams, provide or facilitate patient care, develop policies, and conduct
research.

Upon successful completion of Vincennes University’s and VUJC's Associate
Degree Nursing program, you will be prepared to take the computerized NCLEX Examination to earn
licensure as a registered nurse.
WHY VU?
At VU and VUJC a combination of nursing theories will be introduced through
classroom lectures, laboratory practices, and related clinical experiences provided in both acute
and chronic health care facilities.You will assist clients in maternal-newborn, pediatrics, mental
health, and medical-surgical settings.
Admission to this program is competitive, but if you are self-disciplined,
highly motivated, and have compassion for others, you could qualify for the nursing
profession.
