Guidelines for Documenting Disabilities/Disorders

Students seeking accommodations from Vincennes University are first required to submit documentation to the Office of Disability Services as soon as possible (after being accepted to the university) for review. 

Printer-friendly guidelines for necessary documentation are provided so that the Office of Disability Services can appropriately  determine the needs of the individual student.  Disability Services reserves the right to determine eligibility for services based on the quality of the submitted documentation and to request updated documents.

Students and their family members are encouraged to READ these guidelines, PRINT them off, and PRESENT them to the professional documenting the need for accommodation.

Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, students with verified disabilities who are otherwise qualified to attend the university are protected from discrimination and assured equal access to educational programs.
