Multicultural and International Student Services Office

The Multicultural and International Student Services Office supports African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, and Native American students and all international students in achieving their goals at Vincennes University by encouraging their academic, cultural, and professional development. The Office Staff helps students in their transition at Vincennes University and continues to provide support throughout their academic careers.

The Office is home to seven clubs and organizations including:

  • Black student Association (BSA)
  • Embracing Latin Heritage Club
  • Today's Black Women (TBW)
  • VU PRIDE (GLBT-Straight Alliance)

The Staff of our office is always willing to serve the needs of our students better and encourage individuals who would like to form a new club or organization to contact us at your convenience.

About Our Office

For many students, the Office serves as a "home away from home" by providing students with a familiar atmosphere and having an open door policy to assist our students at all times.   Although we may not always have the answers to your questions, we are always willing to find the person(s) who can.

The Office provides a comprehensive orientation for all incoming international students.  The orientation includes information on local laws and campus regulations, housing, banking, ID cards, meal plans, and help with registering for courses.

The Office sponsors a wide variety of programming and events throughout the year which include:

Activities

  • Guest Speakers
  • International Dinners
  • Multicultural Thursday Nights
  • Community Outreach
  • Annual Drag Show sponsored by PRIDE
  • Gospel Concerts
