Voter Registration

vote

Vincennes University encourages eligible students to vote. You may register to vote in Indiana by filling out and mailing the Indiana mail-in Voter Registration Application. The General Election takes place on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. You are eligible to vote in Indiana if:

  • You are both a U.S. citizen and a resident of Indiana; and
  • You will be at least 18 years of age on or before the next General or Municipal Election, and
  • You are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime; and
  • You have lived in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election; and
  • You are registered to vote.

Indiana voter registration forms are available online at: www.in.gov/sos/elections where you will click on “Register to Vote”

In order to be processed for the next election, this application must be postmarked or hand delivered to your county voter registration office no later than 29 days before the next election (November 4, 2008).  If your county registration office receives this application after that day, you will be unable to vote in the next election. If you miss this deadline, your registration application will be processed when registration reopens.
