Nursing is a challenging and rewarding profession with many diverse career opportunities. It continues to be one of the most in-demand jobs in the United States with an above average projected growth rate (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
Vincennes University offers a variety of options for those seeking to either enter the field of nursing or to continue their education as a nurse. The Practical Nursing Program offers a Certificate of Graduation, in which graduates will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) in order to obtain licensure as an Licensed Practical Nurses; Two options for an Associate of Science in Nursing Program in which graduates will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) in order to obtain licensure as Registered Nurses; as well as a RN to BSN Completion Concentration for registered nurses.
Our faculty provides a variety of teaching methods including lecture, laboratory experiences, and clinical experience. Students also have the opportunity to learn in our state of art simulation laboratory. The faculty have many years of experience as practicing nurses as well as being highly educated professors. We provide personal attention and small class sizes to help provide an innovative and excellent learning environment for our students.
