Scholarship Fund Scholarship Fund

Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.

#2 Vincennes University Remains Unbeaten After Second-Half Comeback Over John A. Logan

Carterville, IL-The #2 Vincennes University Trailblazers improved to 14-0 after an 82-73 victory over District 16 rival John A. Logan.

Coming out of half-time down by 3, VU found themselves in a rare spot, as they had previously only trailed twice after the first-half. The Trailblazers relied on their starters to help take control of the game, scoring 63 of the team’s 82 points.

Vincennes got marquee performances from freshmen Ty Gadsden (23 points, 6 assists) and George Dixon (16 points, 11 rebounds), which is Dixon’s second career double-double. VU’s veterans also got into the action with sophomores Isaiah Tisdale (14 points, 4 rebounds 2 assists) and Hughes Mbumba (7 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks).

The Trailblazers will return to action after the holidays on Wednesday, January 3rd, when the take-on Elizabethtown Tech at the Physical Education Complex. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. eastern.
