Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.

VUVB Gains Decisive Win over Lindnwood University-Belleville on Sophomore Night

Vincennes, IN – The Vincennes University Volleyball team downed Lindenwood University-Belleville in straight sets: 25-18, 25-15, 25-8 to capture a great win on the final home and regular season game, and on a night where fans gathered to celebrate the outstanding contributions of the sophomore class.

“This was a decisive win for our sophomores to close their last home game with, and will really give us some good confidence heading into the District J Playoff.” Said Coach Sien after the match.

The Trailblazers were led in the stats column by sophomore Gabrielle Medrado who recorded her 4th triple-double of the season, and the 14th of her VU career. Medrado tallied: 15 kills, 11 assists, and 11 digs. Sophomore Genesis Milisde recorded 8 kills and 3 blocks. Sophomore Cali Topolski led the Blazers in set assists with 19, while fellow sophomore Hannah Bullock led the team in aces and digs with 3 and 14 a-piece. Sophomore Abby Bigler rounded out the stats column for Vincennes by chipping in an impressive 11 digs on the night.

The win brings the overall season record to 29-and-10 for VU, and the victory over Lindenwood University-Belleville marks the 58th win for the sophomore class over their 2 seasons at Vincennes. The contributions of: Cali Topolski, Hannah Bullock, Sydney Nurrenbern, Genesis Milisde, Erica Kik, Abby Bigler, Gabrielle Medrado, and Yasmene Leath cannot be over-looked. A huge thank you to our sophomores for all that they have done for the University, for the volleyball program, and good luck in the tournament!

Vincennes University will return to action with a tough opening round test this Friday, November 3rd, at 2 p.m., against #2 ranked Iowa Western. Go VU!
