Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.

VU Men’s Basketball Pulls Away in Second-Half to convincing win on Day 1 of the Kiwanis Classic

Vincennes, IN- The #4 Vincennes University Trailblazers defeated Kankakee 109-76. VU had 6 players score in double-figures, with sophomore Isaiah Tisdale leading the Trailblazers with 18.

The first-half was a high scoring battle which left the Trailblazers leading by only 12 points at the break. Vincennes’ defense forced 13 first-half turnovers, many leading to easy points on the other end of the floor. The Trailblazers offense was in-sync in the first-half, with a shooting percentage of 58%, and 12 assists on 22 field goals.

Vincennes came out on a mission, leading to a 22-3 run to begin the second-half. The Trailblazers continued to increase their lead with outstanding outside shooting from freshmen Keith Clemons and Ty Gadsden.

Sophomore Isaiah “Pun” Tisdale led VU’s scoring attack with 18 points on the night. Sophomore Rade Kukobat recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Sehill Mouliom also reach double-figures with 10. The freshmen trio of Ty Gadsden, Keith Clemons, and Lony Francis rounded-out the Blazers scoring in the double digits with 15, 14, and 11.

The Trailblazers next game is tomorrow, Saturday, November 4th at the P.E. Complex against Eastern Florida State Community College at 7:00 p.m. EST. This game is a top-5 matchup as VU and EFSCC are ranked #4 and #5 respectively.
