Play for Kay Cancer Awareness

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Kay Yow was a college head coach for 38 years and past president and founding member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Her name is synonymous with North Carolina State. She is a member of the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame and achieved more than 700 career victories. Yow was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987. She passed away in 2009 after an on-again, off-again battle with the disease.

2018 Women's Silver Anniversary Team Members Announced

(New Castle) - Eighteen women have been named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2018 Silver Anniversary Team, based on outstanding accomplishments as a senior basketball player 25 years ago.

The team includes 12 members of the 1993 Indiana All-Star squad, among them Indiana’s Miss Basketball.  Six other all-state players are included to comprise the best of Indiana’s high school class of 1993.

1993 Indiana All-Stars on this year’s Silver Anniversary Team include Miss Basketball Abby Conklin of Charlestown along with Kokomo teammates Tiffany (Longworth) Boruff, Mistina Oliver and Cari Stover-Richards and Gary West teammates Kasia McClendon-Campbell and Danielle McCulley.  The remainder of the Indiana All-Stars honored are Kelli (Kerkhoff) Burton, Rosanne Bohman, Beth (Morgan) Cunningham, Erika Fall, Regan (Seybert) Hoffmayer and Leslie Johnson.

The remaining six, named to various all-state teams are: Alana Burns, Alicia Harkins, Andrea Lehr, Jacki (Lung) Negri, Kris (Booker) Rastrelli and Tiffany (Park) Sever.

All Women’s Silver Anniversary Team members will be honored at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 17th Annual Women’s Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

The ceremony will take place at the Primo Banquet Hall, which is located on the south side of Indianapolis.  Tickets will be made available in coming weeks or can be reserved through the Hall’s website at Call the Hall at 765-529-1891 or email for more information.

            Graduated 2nd career leading scorer at Madison with 1,195 points (16.8 ppg) and a school-record 610 rebounds (8.6 rpg)… averaged 19.9 points and 9.7 rebounds as a junior and 19.2 points and 8.0 rebounds as a senior when she led Madison to a 4OT sectional championship win vs. Scottsburg before regional finals loss to state finalist Charlestown… 3x team MVP, 3x all-conference, all-sectional and all-regional, 1993 North-South all-star, participated in state finals 3 Point Shootout and was part of 1993 All-Star team that toured Australia… scored 1,258 points in two seasons (18.8 ppg) at Vincennes University, including a single-game record of 51 points, leading teams to 56-11 record, two region championships, a district championship and earning her 1996 NJCAA All-American honors… since 2001 has been a marketing associate with Arvin Sango in Madison… married, she has three children and resides in Madison.

We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. Scholarship Fund

Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.
