Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.

Patty and McGill lead No. 1 VU over Lewis & Clark in 19th win

The Vincennes University Men’s Basketball Team on Wednesday afternoon maintained its grip on the country’s No. 1 spot in the latest NJCAA Div. I rankings and then took care of business again Wednesday night when the Trailblazers topped visiting Lewis & Clark by an 87-74 score.
VU moved to 19-0 as sophomores A.J. Patty and Donte’ McGill scored 24 points each and sophomore Everett Clemons grabbed 12 rebounds, handed out six assists and registered two steals. Patty grabbed 11 rebounds for his latest double-double effort of the season.
The Trailblazers will head to Kaskaskia in Centralia, IL, on Saturday. VU’s 4 p.m. (“Vincennes time”) tip-off will follow the VU women playing Kaskaskia at about 2 p.m.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, the Trailblazers continued their grip on the No. 1 slot when the latest rankings in NJCAA Div. I Men’s Basketball were released. VU garnered eight First Place votes and 342 points in retaining the top ranking. Northwest Florida State (20-0) remained at No. 2 and the rest of the Top 5 also stayed in place from last week's poll. The other three teams in the upper echelon are:
·    3. Southern Idaho (21-0),
·    4. Butler (19-0),
·    5. Hill (18-1).
The rest of the Top 10 were: sixth, Connors State (18-1); seventh, Southwest Tennessee (14-1); eighth, Mineral Area (20-1); ninth, Indian Hills (18-2) and 10th, Jones County (11-0).
