Top-ranked Trailblazers turn away Lincoln Trail to improve to 10-0

ROBINSON, Ill. - Vincennes University sophomore guard Jaelan Manson hit 6-of-8 3-pointers on the way to a career-high 25 points off the bench Wednesday night to lead the NJCAA No. 1 VU Men's Basketball Team's 104-60 rout of host Lincoln Trail.
Sophomore Charles Foster had 17 points and sophomore Everett Clemons finished with 14 points and six assists, while freshman Ronnie Rousseau turned in 11 points and seven assists.
The top-ranked Trailblazers (10-0) were locked in a tight game in the first half as the game was tied three times and saw the lead change a trio of times in the first 20 minutes. VU finally gained some control to hold a 47-32 halftime advantage.
Following the break, the Trailblazers started to knock down more shots (36-for-64; 10-for-25 from 3-point range) and used a 37-29 rebounding edge in the rugged contest to get the game in hand and cruise over the final five minutes to the victory. When it was all said and done, VU had posted 57 points while holding the Statesmen to 28 in the second half.
The Trailblazers will return to action on Saturday when they host Wabash Valley in a 7 p.m. game after the VU women take on Wabash Valley at 5 p.m.
