Trailblazers Score Top Kentucky Prep Star Keith Clemons

Vincennes, IN – The VU Trailblazers Men’s Basketball team has had a very active post-season in the hopes of reloading to make another deep run at the National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas next season. That activity continued this afternoon as Keith Clemons, 6’1 Point Guard from Wesley Christian Prep committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Vincennes University next year.

Clemons won a state title at St. Joe Central Catholic as a Junior in Huntington, West Virginia. During his junior season, Clemons averaged 24 points per game, and proved to be able to play the point guard position at a very high level. As a senior, he decided to transfer to Wesley Christian Prep, where he continued to have tremendous success on the basketball court. As a senior, Clemons averaged 17 points & 6 assists per game, and finished the season as the #2 ranked point guard prospect in the state of Kentucky, #15 overall by Prep Hoops.

“Keith gives us a player that has played the point guard position at a very high level since his sophomore year of high school. He was the key player on a state championship team as a junior, and was the leader of his team as a senior. We are very excited to add him to our basketball family.” Said head men’s basketball coach Todd Franklin moments after receiving Clemons’ commitment this afternoon.
