At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.

Vincennes University Volleyball Signs Sullivan Stand-Out Ryli Bobbitt

Vincennes, IN- The Vincennes University Volleyball team is happy to welcome their newest signee, Ryli Bobbitt. Ryli is the daughter of Jon Bobbitt and Tricia Wolfe, and plans on majoring in nursing. She is a 6 foot tall middle blocker and outside hitter. Last year at Sullivan High School she led the Lady Arrows in hitting percentage (27.2%) and blocks (81). Ryli helped lead Sullivan to a 30-6 record last season, and a 3A Sectional Championship. Bobbitt was also named to the All-Sullivan County team.

Sullivan head coach Sue Chagnon had this to say about Bobbitt’s signing, “Ryli over the past 4 years has grown into a leader and communicator on the court which will be an asset to VU along with the volleyball skills for which she has been recruited. With Ryli playing the past 3 years she helped lead the Lady Arrows to an 84-21 Record including a conference and sectional championship. I think Ryli has a lot more in her and looking forward to her skill and career develop at VU.”

"We have been interested in Ryli for over a year.” VUVB Coach Gary Sien added. “We have followed her high school and club careers during that span and we like what we saw. Ryli is a tremendous teammate and has persevered through several things in order to compete. We will expect leadership from this 2018 class and we see her as a big contributor."
