VU Baseball's next youth camp set for Dec. 13

The Vincennes University Baseball Team’s next youth camp for ages 6-13 will be December 13 at VU’s Beless Gymnasium on the VU campus.
The camp is a prime opportunity for youngsters to develop skills under the tutelage of the VU Trailblazer Baseball coaching staff. The all-day event will cover all aspects of the game: hitting, pitching/catching and defense. It will begin at 9 a.m. and wrap up at 2 p.m. The camp will also include a pizza party and participants will receive a VU Baseball t-shirt.
Parents of young baseball players between the ages of 6 and 13 should complete the attached form and mail it to the VU Baseball Office.

A rundown of what the youth camp:

9-9:10 a.m.                            Introduction of Coaches and Staff

9:10-9:30 a.m.                       Vincennes University Baseball Stretching Routine

9:30-9:50 p.m.                       Baserunning

9:50-9:55 a.m.                       Water Break

9:55 a.m.-12:10 p.m.            Station Work (Twice for Each Circuit; 10-Minute Stations)

1st Circuit: Hitting Cage (Front Toss, Soft Toss, BP, Wiffle Balls, Tees, Throwing)

2nd Circuit: Ground Balls, Outfield Play, Fly Balls, Relays, Rundowns, Pitching

12:10-12:35 p.m.                  Lunch and Pizza Party

12:35-1:20 p.m.                     Batting Practice (Three Stations)

1:20-1:55 p.m.                       Wiffle Ball Game

1:55-2 p.m.                            Conclude Camp and Hand Out T-Shirts

All players must bring their own equipment, marked with their name.

Scholarship Fund

Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.
