Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.

We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. VU Women's Basketball uses 35-point tear to leave SWIC in the dust

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The Vincennes University Women's Basketball Team used a run of 35 unanswered points to blow out the host Southwestern Illinois College Saturday afternoon.
Four Trailblazer players scored in double figures to lead 12 players getting in the scoring column and four reached double digits in rebounding in the rout of the Blue Storm.
Freshman Jeanier Olukemi led the way for VU (15-2) with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Nicole Dodd had 14 points and 11 boards. Sophomore Anais Kirvan finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds and freshman Jesheon Cooper contributed nine points and 11 rebounds.
Freshman Brooke Dossett dished out seven assists and Olukemi had five assists and four steals.
In addition, freshman Chelsea Bentley scored 11 points and Dossett had 10.
The Trailblazers led at the half by a score of 31-18. VU then put up 49 while holding the Blue Storm to 11 second half points.
VU will host Rend Lake at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the VU P.E. Complex. The ladies will then go back on the road Saturday for a 2 p.m. ("Vincennes time") tip-off at Southeastern Illinois in Harrisburg, IL. That game will be followed by the VU taking on host SIC at 4 p.m.
