All aviation majors are offered at the Aviation Technology Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Through Vincennes University you can earn your Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (FAA A&P) along with either an Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) in Aviation Maintenance Technology.

Courses consist of approximately 60% laboratory and 40% lecture instruction. Certification process starts at the end of the fourth semester and is divided into three parts: An FAA computerized exam in our certified computer testing center, an oral exam, and a practical (skills) exam all given by onsite FAA Designated Mechanic Examiners.

Oral and practical exams are provided at no additional cost and tuition is extremely affordable as Vincennes University is a state supported college costing thousands less than proprietary training programs. Once certified an A&P technician is allowed to perform inspection, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls to aircraft and their related systems.

Vincennes offers 727,737,757, and Airbus A320 General Familiarization courses throughout the year. These courses give students the opportunity to take a detailed look at the systems of large aircraft.
