Current Training Schedule

MCOSMOS C1 –

This is a four-day introductory class for operation and programming of a CMM using the MCOSMOS software.  Students begin with CMM setup and stylus calibration and complete manual measurement, manual programming, CNC measurement and CNC programming exercises.  The students run their programs on a CMM and also use off line software for programming.  The course outline includes:

Overview of MCOSMOS CMM Software

CMM System Manager Setup and stylus calibration

Understanding alignments and basic alignment techniques

Measurement – step by step measurement and tolerancing

Manual Programming – step by step manual programming

CNC Measurement – step by step CNC measurement

CNC Programming – step by step CNC programming

Dates: August 13-16; October 29 - November 1; December 10-13

Time:  8:00am – 4:00pm (Eastern)

Location: Gene Haas Training and Education Center – 316 N. Mt. Zion Rd. – Lebanon, IN 46052

Cost:  $2,080.00 per Student

MCOSMOS C2 –

This one-day class continues the training from C1 utilizing CAD models for development of CMM CNC programming using the CAT1000P/S CAD Model based programming package.  Students will work both online with the CMM and offline on simulation software to program the CMM from a CAD model and transfer the nominal and tolerance values to GeoPak for evaluation and reporting.  Student must have completed MCOSMOS C1 prior to taking this course.  The course outline includes:

1.   Import of the CAD model

2.   CAD Toolbars and Icons

3.   CAD model and program settings

4.   CAD model transformations

5.   Measurement process

6.   Alignments

7.   Surface Analysis

Dates: August 17; November 2; December 14

Time:  8:00am – 4:00pm (Eastern)

Location: Gene Haas Training and Education Center – 316 N. Mt. Zion Rd. – Lebanon, IN 46052

Cost:  $540.00 per Student

MCOSMOS C3 –

This two-day class utilizes the Scan-Pak to create scans of surfaces, profiles, and irregular surfaces general from nominal curve data.  The student will create scans from GeoPak and from a CAD model.  The surfaces will be evaluated to a blueprint.  The student will also reverse engineer a 3D surface.  The student must have completed MCOSMOS C1 prior to taking this course.  It is recommended that the student also have completed MCOSMOS C2.  The course outline includes:

1.   Creating a nominal scan

2.   Scanning from GeoPak

3.   Scan comparison

4.   Sectioning scan paths

5.   Best fit scan

6.   Creating a nominal scan from CAD

7.   Scanning from CAD
