VU head coach Chris Gafner says . . .

"The team is excited to compete in the NJCAA Indoor Championships March 6-7. We've prepared really well for this level of competition and we have several athletes that have a chance to compete for top 8 places (top 8 finishers score points for the team) and All-American honors. I think we are set up well to compete at a very high level and hopefully beat some of our seeds."
"Some of our distance runners qualified for several events, so we have to pick and choose which events we feel they might have the best chances to shine. Entries will be finalized on Tuesday before the meet."
