Vincennes University volleyball receives exciting commitment ahead of 20-21 season

Brown County coach Jessica Robertson says . . .

"From the time Chloe was a 5th grader I knew she would play volleyball beyond high school. As a young girl she was committed to the sport and it was hard to distinguish her from the older girls. She is physically and mentally strong. It has been a blessing to have coached her as a young girl and again as a Junior and Senior in high school. She is a role model to so many young players in our program. Her teammates state that ‘Chloe is an enthusiastic, optimistic, and compassionate teammate that makes everyone feel welcomed. She always has a big smile and a laugh that welcomes newcomers.’ We are proud of the confident, compassionate, and strong woman she has become. We believe she will be a positive addition to the Vincennes University volleyball team.”

VU Coach Gary Sien says. . .

"We are thrilled to have Chloe sign with us to be a Blazer! Chloe proved her mettle by being named the MVP at Purdue University's camp in her division which was the second highest one there. As you can imagine, her team went up against much larger schools. We have seen great development in our smaller hitters like Ryleigh Fidler (All Region 24, 2018 and 2019) so we will see how far Chloe can go. She could potentially receive time in the back row as she has proved to be consistent in her serve receive and defensive skills. We have also challenged Chloe to step up in leadership as we will have quite a number of incoming Freshmen for 2020."

The Vincennes University Athletic Department hosts Play4Kay and raises donations for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund annually. VU Women’s Basketball Coach and Athletic Director Harry Meeks has a special connection to the late Yow, who was the longtime coach at North Carolina State. He had the pleasure of meeting her while he was an assistant coach at Western Carolina University. This left a lasting impression on him and made this cause important to him and the Trailblazers.
