OLNEY, Ill. - Jhala Henry scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Vincennes University women’s basketball team to a 92-54 romp over District P foe Olney Central Saturday afternoon.

Henry splashed a career-high six 3-pointers - four coming in the second half - to help surpass her previous career high of 19 points.

With the win, the Lady Trailblazers improve to 18-6 on the season.

The two teams were knotted at 17 apiece after the first 10 minutes of play, then the VU offense started to click.

The Trailblazers outscored OCC 23-15 in the second period for a 40-32 lead heading into the locker room.

VU then put the game away with a 25-9 advantage in the third period.

Ivanda Hudjakova joined Henry in double figures with 14 points - eight coming in the first quarter- to go along with seven rebounds.

Fess Hawkins fell three points shy of recording her 14th double-double of the season, but the freshman post player pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds in the win.

The Trailblazers won the rebounding battle, 49-31.

Reeva Hammelman added nine points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Nickelle O’Neil finished with eight points, six assists and three steals.

Grace Yocum continued her improved play, as the freshman contributed seven points, three rebounds and two blocked shots off the VU bench.

The Trailblazers return to the P.E. Complex on Wednesday when they play host to Mineral Area. VU will look to avenge an earlier loss to the Lady Cards. Tipoff is at 5 p.m.
